SAT vs ACT... What's your opinion?

I'm only 13 and I was just googling random stuff, when I came across an online ACT prep test. Out of curiosity I decided to just go ahead and try it out. I did 12 questions and only got 2 wrong. Now I'm pretty smart for my age, but honestly I learnt almost all of the material in sixth grade. I also tried a SAT practice test and got 13 wrong out of 20 and I was just guessing. So is the SAT harder than the ACT? What's your opinion? I totally think the AcT's are easiest. BTW I did math on both.

The ACT is definitely easier in math, reading, and english (obviously can’t compare science). But that is balanced by you get significantly less time per section, so unless you’re pretty fast, it will be hard to score very high. The curve is often pretty harsh too.

You should also try more than 12 questions, that is only a small portion of the ACT math section. The questions are not of uniform difficulty, so you may not have “sampled” enough.

cortana431: yeah I’ve heard the curve can be pretty harsh
fignewton: yeah definitely if I want to see more accurately how the two compare I was just posting to hear what people thought.

In my personal opinion, I prefer the ACT over the SAT. I did better on the ACT, and I honestly didn’t even study much for it. I took a buttload of SAT prep courses and progressively did worse haha. The third time I took it, my math went up 50 points but my CR went down 60 xD
I guess it’s just preference, some people do better on the SAT, some people do better on the ACT. I also liked having the writing section at the end for the ACT.

I did better on the ACT too. Take it if you’re like me, that is: really fast in answering questions. That + Much easier questions = very high score :)
