I've been wondering about the SAT. I know for a fact that the tabulating machine only sees the answer ovals on our sheets.

I'm no stranger to the SAT, I've taken SAT 1 and SAT subject math 2c already. But, something has been lurking in my mind for awhile now. Since there are millions of tests taken each time, the process of correcting each test should be done in a quick and effective manner.

Now, what I'm about to ask may seem crazy, stupid or something of the sort to you guys. Maybe, it's already been asked before, i don't know.

But, what if instead of filling in one answer choice, you fill in every answer choice. Think about it, the tabulating machine only looks for correct answers, if you fill in everything, the machine finds what its looking for.

Now, I may be missing something. I know the people in ETS are no fools, but what if, you know...

What does happen when someone does that? do they get a perfect score or a SAT 1 600/SAT II 200?

Any answers? It's just somethings thats been lurking in my mind, I just thought I might ask you know... Thanks.
