Hello,

Does anyone have any tips for raising my writing those final 50-100 points? I have Erica Meltzer's guide and will begin reading it as well as doing a practice section every other day. Does anyone have any tips on how to use Erica Meltzer's guide properly? Any more writing MC tips that can help me? Or advice on how to raise my essay from a 10 to an 11-12?

Thanks,

Practice the Improving Paragraphs section. It’s different than the other two sections. I got 3 wrong on the writing section, 2 of which were Improving Paragraph questions. There are only 6 of those questions on each SAT. If you’re not getting those wrong, I’d try and analyze what questions you’re getting wrong. I always had a problem choosing No Error when there was an error. I didn’t even realize there were questions about denotation until after I took my 2nd SAT. You probably know that though.

This is what worked for me like magic:

Make a cram list of grammar rules tested on the SAT with one example of each type of grammar mistake/correction.

Look at this cram list in the 20 minutes before you take each practice exam.

It works like magic!

@puzzled123 lol it sounds like a great idea
