anyone wish to explan this mess to me?

I doubt they'd test this on the multiple choice and they certainly wouldn't dock any points for it in the essay... but:

to lie, or to recline:
I lie down - present
I lay down - past
I have lain down - imperfect (?)

to lay, or to set down
I lay it down - present
I laid it down - past
I have laid it down - imperfect (?)

and of course to lie, or to not tell the truth,
I lie - present
I lied - past
I have lied - imperfect (?)

For what it's worth, I just checked, and it looks like I was correct.

thank you!!!!

The "i have lain down" , "I have laid it down", etc is the perfect form, not the imperfect. The imperfect is "I was laying it down" "I was laying down" etc. Not like it matters though.
