IS it true for some people, no matter how much practice and studying they do, they can't seem to do well on the SAT? Since I've been preparing for the SAT for two years, and my english and writing scores still SUCK! Plus, I'm asian

I have logged in my account in CB and I can't find my Oct SAT score. This is utterly weird, since it was still there this morning ?
What does this mean ? :)

OHHHHH you're asian? then it all makes sense...

Some people just don't test well. You can take prep classes to learn test-taking skills and ways to approach different types of question, they might help you raise your score (although in the real world they won't make you any smarter).

My husband took the $AT's 3 times and couldn't break 1200. I swear, he could fail a multiple choice test on his name, he just reads way too much into the questions. By the way, hubby is a successful businessman, intelligent and well-respected, who earns a very respectable income.

My son, on the other hand, just got a 760 on the US History $AT II with ZERO studying. He takes after me. I don't find that my skill at taking multiple choice tests has done me much good in the real world, however. This explains my objection to colleges using the $AT for admissions. My son's scores are great, and they'll help him get in, but that doesn't change my opinion that the $AT is a dumb way to pick who you'll let into your college.

My sister-in-law teaches $AT prep classes. She says the test is quite coachable, so those who can afford prep will do better. She believes the whole thing is a big money-making scam. But it's the system that exists, so she continues to tutor!
