I am a high school senior looking to ED2 to Vanderbilt. I got a 35 on the ACT and I have a 740 on the Bio SAT2 and a 770 on the Math2 SAT2. Will my SAT2 scores improve my application? Or should I avoid sending them? I don’t know what “good” is considered to be for SAT2s
I suspect it probably wouldn’t make much of a difference. They are very good scores, but most realistic applicants likely also have very good scores, so they wouldn’t stand out in either direction.
As far as I know, SAT2 scores are not required by Vanderbilt so you don’t have to send any. But you have great scores and I don’t think it will hurt your chances at all.
IMO your app is probably a little stronger with those scores than without (of course I don’t know the totality of your app components). Even though not required or even recommended at Vandy, I would send them.
I agree that those scores are good enough to send. they can’t hurt you, and why take the chance that some admissions person wonders why you didn’t send any and what are you hiding?
I don’t believe that sending any kind of materials to the university might lower your chances. On the other hand, not sending them might be a disadvantage, so I’d recommend that you send them anyways. Maybe they would boost your chances and maybe not, but they won’t hurt your chances
