SAT II

Applying ED I to school of engineering and Im not sure if i should send my math II score. It's a 700 while my molecular bio score was 680. Thanks guys!

Look up your percentile rank for both your SAT and your SATII subject tests. If your subject test ranks are very close or higher, they’re worth submitting.

I’m actually submitting my ACT score. So I compare my SAT 2 scores to vandy’s? sorry if that’d a dumb question!

Use your ACT percentile rank then. I’m talking about your national percentile rank, not your rank within Vandy.

I can tell you right off the bat that a Math II score of 700 is probably not worth submitting, nor is a 680 on molecular bio. Both put you around the 50th percentile of test takers and your ACT is surely a lot better than that. The SAT II is a more selective group of test takers, but you still want to be scoring >75th percentile to submit scores.

I would say no. Vanderbilt specifically says if you submit them they will use them to evaluate your application. As Pancaked mentioned - those scores are relatively low for Vandy.

I generally go for full disclosure but for the school of engineering, I agree with Pancaked.

I really want to apply ED I for Vandy, so would I be able to send in my SAT II Math II score if they specifically ask me to? Or do I need to go ahead and retake the test. Which would throw my mental state off completely right now hahaha

My ACT composite is a 32. I received a 29 (lower than my other math score, unfortunately), but I’m in the 93rd percentile.

You aren’t required to send your SAT II, so I wouldn’t send it unless it benefits your profile. I do not think a 700 benefits you.

Okay thank you so much!
