.

And it was just as exciting on the instant replay! Hope you mighta seen it. Again.

It was truly magnificent to watch live today!

Let us know if it will be shown again. Hubby and I saw it live; Son (USNA Candidate) was working out/running.....and we missed Whistle Pig's announcement of the re-airing. So, if it re-re-airs, sound off please!

WP- with all due respect, I am not the one that needs to do the "careful reading."

The entire ceremony is available online at The U.S. Navy

What ever happened to the practice of naming government buildings/Navy ships for notable individuals AFTER they died? Though Bush was the youngest Navy pilot at the time (for being the son of a US senator); when his plane crashed into the ocean after being hit by flak he was the only survivor and all of his crew members perished because he was inexperienced and gave the order to bail out too late. Why did the US Navy name an aircraft carrier after Bush 41 father of George Bush? BTW, what ever happened to Bush Jr's military records while Bush Sr. was Director of the CIA?

usna09mom: I do not consider this the proper form to answer your questions. I suggest you ask your mid how ships are named. And, I suggest you contact the NY Times to answer your other conspiracy questions.

ooh, ouch. Wrong place, wrong time. It would seem your concerns are a bit late and perhaps misdirected.

USNA09MOM- you do know that bubbling around somewhere right now is the USS Jimmy Carter (SSN23 "SeaWolf class Attack sub -commissioned in 2004 I believe) don't you? When last heard from I believe that Former President Carter was in fact still with us. As far as your slander about the former president's military record in WWII- .

Not exactly unheard of.
