^ See, bio is an interesting test in that there are two sections: Molecular (M) and Ecological (E). On the real thing, I want to do M. However, if I find that the E questions are easier mid-test, I’ll do E.

^I don’t think you can go switch like that…

Yea you can’t switch. Everyone does 60 general biology questions, and then you do 20 special ones from E or M. Once you choose, you are stuck with E or M

I’m well aware. I mean that I will browse through the questions and choose to do the twenty I feel are easier. I’ve done my research.

^Isn’t that cheating? You have to mark at the top which test you are taking at the beginning.

It is certainly not cheating. At the end of the test in May (I was taking Math 2), my proctor said something along the lines of, “If you took the biology test and switched sections in the middle of the test, change the circle you marked now.” I know what I’m talking about. All of the questions are there, and it’s absolutely not cheating to browse through them.

Is every booklet the same? or does everyone get a specific book for their subject tests they signed up for?

Math 2 and Physics. I’m more worried about the Math at this point, but that doesn’t make me extraordinarily worried, I’m expecting a 750+ for both of them.

I changed halfway through the test for bio. I started on E, but I thought it was too difficult, so I switched to M. Obviously not the best idea, but it’s manageable. It’s fine to browse through both sections. There’s nothing mentioned about not being able to do it.

PPurplerock95, we have to know Chinese dynasties for the SAT??

I just took the Lit test from the BB and got 780. Enough prepping for that then?

For anyone who has taken AP Lit though: I’ve noticed it seems very similar to the AP Lit MC. Since I don’t actually have any SAT Lit materials other than this one test, do you think it’s helpful to take an AP Lit test?

i am very nervous…Cant stand on one place.

i am taking bio and math 2

I really think I’m just going to take practice tests from here on out.

Anyone have links to math2, chem or lit tests?

Bio
WH
Math 2
I’ve been cramming these 3 this week.
As for Bio, I’ve read Barron’s twice and PR’s once.
WH, I haven’t even looked at yet.
Math 2, I got 780 last time :(. So I’m planning to skim Barron’s and Dr. Chung’s Practice tests.

@Iris0208

Do you really need to retake Math 2 if you got a 780?

Well, last time I took it, I wasted time checking answers after solving each problems and made couple of stupid mistakes.
I think I can do better, so I’m planning to retake the test.

Taking Bio and Math 2 - have Cliffnotes for Bio but no book for Math 2(no Barron’s etc…) … not a good situation.

What should I be looking at for pratice tests and review? Sparknotes? I’ve read Cliffnotes a few times and taken AP released exams (not sure how well they’ll correlate)… have done zero studying for Math though.

Have a Calc. review book that I can browse through for vectors and stuff but I need tests. ASAP. Any advice?

^ There are a few really good threads on CC you can look at. Jamesford made a guide on the Math Subject Tests, and schoolisfun assembled an abridged review guide that is sure to help your cause. Good luck!

@ Stud: Awesome. I’ll check them out right now.

“Anyone want to teach me a mnemonic for remembering the Chinese dynasties?”

I have one.
(to the tune of Frere Jacques)

Shang, Zhou, Qin, Han
Shang, Zhou, Qin, Han
Sui, Tang, Song
Sui, Tang, Song
Yuan, Ming, Qing, Republic
Yuan, Ming, Qing, Republic
Mao Zedong
Mao Zedong

(found that on Tumblr haha)

I’m taking Lit and World History…but its finals week this week and I have a 92 in my Physics class so Idk if I should be studying for that or these tests…ughhh

Any Chemistry advice or links to prep?
