I have been paying our household bills for 30 years now. Do you really think that you need to write out instructions every month to remind me to write the account number for your car loan on the reference line of the check? And then actually write out the blasted account number for me in case I can’t find it printed on the payment voucher right there on the voucher under the words that say “account number”??? Ya know, you could even just leave the voucher booklet in the bill drawer instead of just popping one voucher in there every month…

Happiness is having to arrange catering for an engineering association dinner for 30 people and hitting the budget amount to the penny (by including an appropriately-sized tip). It really was luck - I just picked entrees, etc. that looked good. It’s the first time I’ve had to do something like this, so I hope the event goes well.
