I got a coupon for 50% off any full-price item from Talbots. I used to buy Talbots clothes all the time. Now – I couldn’t even find anything I’d want to spend even 50% on.
I’m always surprised that people can make pronouncements about what other people can afford without knowing anything about their circumstances.
I am not talking about paying for college.
And I’m surprised what “kids” in their 30’s expect their parents to do for them.
I’m sad that you decided on your own to support something that you thought was a good idea without speaking with ANY of your sibs who are uniformly opposed to the idea and NOW you’re crushed and claim our texts in opposition were “below the belt”?
Sis wants us to make amends in some unspecified way for us being honest that we thought the idea was VERY bad?!?!?

It’s funny how one comment from my brother makes me feel like an 8yo again. 
Why dear relative, are we supposed to “make amends” when we were protecting someone we loved from being railroaded especially when you don’t even explain what the heck you mean? You switch to another platitude, “show some love,” but again fail to define that either when asked.
In the context in which this has come up, you have yet again truly baffled me. :-/
I have no words to say when one international student calls out another one for being “stupid” and pretend s/he knows everything about gap year. Some people just don’t know how to contain their tempers, do they?
This is just something brand new to think about.
Don’t forget that, while star-crossed lovers are romantic, they’re also more often than not doomed. My hope is that this ends sooner rather than later. (And, if one more person references The Big Sick, let’s just scream.)

I just met a celebrity country singer in the boarding line for my Southwest flight and HE approached ME to talk about my company logo shirt and to tell me how much he loves our company. Thank you MR. CEO for “encouraging” us to travel in logo gear. I wasn’t focused on who this unusual looking person was until people started coming up for pictures. Big Kenny!
What a wonderful women’s church retreat! At a beautiful resort on the coast of Maine. I made new friends (where did all these new people come from??) and forgot about all my work challenges. I should do that more often.
Apple support: It was obvious that the agent I am talking to is new. He doesn’t know much (and acknowledged he’s only been there a month). Solve my problem!! The phone is only 3 mos old and I should be able to do a google search when I am not on the network. I’ve deleted new apps but NO I will NOT wipe my phone.
I just can’t wait for summer. For morning coffee & newspaper on the deck. For my garden and containers overflowing with color, my tomatoes glistening in the sun, trees in full bloom, and reliable warmth, even heat, from dawn till dusk.
