Say it here cause you can't say it directly- the get it off your chest thread (Part 1)

According to Sandra Boyton post today is wear your pajamas to work day. Enjoy!

Hey You, Proud Boys-

Did you notice the 35 degree temperatures and stinging, driving rain? Thatā€™s Mother Natureā€™s way of telling you we donā€™t want hate groups in our town. Have fun standing around in your sad little group talking to yourselves at your ā€œrallyā€. The rest of us will ignore you.

O, wind, how far behind is Spring? Not happy with your answers so farā€¦

4th snow accumulation in April. So done with this winter weather!

Well, we had flooding and tons of muds that damaged East Honolulu and Kauai. It was just a heavy pouring of rain in a very short time period and closed all but one lane in each direction of Kalanianaole Highway. There was a LOT of water/storm damage. The streams overflowed and brought a lot of mud with it into homes and nearby areas. We were fortunate it was low tide or it could have been MUCH worse.

Two group projects down, two to go. I think the worst is over.

Iā€™ll bet the gasp was heard blocks away! LOL!

This story reminds me of this thread. Iā€™ve always thought cc could make a book from our anonymous musings ā€¦

I know itā€™s been said before - but seriously, not everyone dreams of working on Wall Street.

Wow this really, really stings.

I should probably change my name to Miss Understood.

Imagining unplugging and going back to doing things the old fashioned way. Offline. Landline. Etc. I swear Iā€™m beginning to feel like big brother is indeed watching us.

I keep telling myself that overall, my life is really, really good.
Butā€¦I feel really sad today. Didnā€™t get asked to something I hoped that I would, my foot is hurting so I canā€™t run, just made a tough decision and while I know I am doing the right thing itā€™s still hard. It was just about a year ago that we had to put the dog down and then my dad passed away a few days later.
Iā€™ll get through this.

I really need to buckle down and get some of this easy stuff off my desk.

This is last three weeks of the semester and you still donā€™t know the name of you class? Wow.

Oh congratulations. You have been awarded two virtue points. You said something virtuous on social media and solidified your membership in a particular same minded/self serving group.

Iā€™m sure you have your reasons, but I donā€™t understand why you constantly update that thread. Maybe itā€™s the name that bothers me but every time it pops to the top I grit my teeth.

OK, tongue in cheek and absolutely not worth derailing a threadā€¦

But if youā€™re going to pose as a parent on a message board, instead of a kid, some tips:

  • Don't refer to your child as "my child." See how we adults post-- we call our kids "son" or daughter" and not "child."
  • Pick up on the idioms that adults use, and don't use the ones that kids use.
  • Be consistent. Two years ago you got accepted into college, now "your child" has. My, how the years have flown.
  • Better yet, post as yourself.

You have plans for a new job and plans to take some summer classes. This is huge for you. May it all work out, may you keep finding your inner strength, may you keep going forward. You have so many gifts and your life could be so exciting and full!

Please hit bottom and change.
