No, I don’t want to review the strategic plan or go to a VTC or read about the future of the function. Less than a month til retirement; it can’t come soon enough.
I am so happy for you and I want to tell everyone I know but I can’t, so here it is. Full ride. You are the best!
I hope you do not tell me that you have cut back by 1/2. That will be a sign of your intentions.
But then you do not have tenacity nor do you “get” the work to be done. Yes, work with no guarantees.
It was arranged that your daughter would pick mine up in New Jersey and then drive to Philadelphia. At the last minute, you decide you won’t let her do it?? The “girls” are 20 - I think it would be OK. Now my daughter has a travel day lasting from 4 am until 7 pm tomorrow.
Thanks mods!
Got into a summer program on a full scholarship! So happy right now, I’ve been dreaming and hoping and working for this for the longest time!
Fingers crossed for our two Summer School Seniors.
If they pass today’s makeup final, they get to walk at graduation Sunday.
If not, then they don’t.
The Precalc kid is in very good shape. Not sure about the Physics kid.
But there’s an awful lot riding on how well they do today.
You lit up when I told you good news about my family. You were genuinely pleased for us even though your family has gone through, and continues to go through some difficult times.
You are an authentically nice person and I’m so lucky to have you as a friend. May good karma follow you all of your days.
The only reason I can’t say this to you directly is that it would embarrass you. You would think it’s nothing special, but it is.
Please let this be the one. I don’t know where we go from here if it isn’t.
Change is hard.
I wish Microsoft had publicized more that they weren’t going to support Money Plus any longer. After my computer updated, I couldn’t use the program any longer, and it had my checkbook data for the last gazillion years. Fortunately, I was able to export most of it to Quicken. Losing several hours before our trip was stressful, though.
Just one more final. Hope this one goes well…
Let me get this straight. Your apartment could be featured on Hoarders. You continually complain about your neighbors calling your landlord at all hours and over any little thing. You’ve been paying $500/month and he has future tenants who are willing to pay $800/month, plus, they also like the neighbors. Yet somehow you’re surprised he’s refusing to renew your lease when it’s up and think you can sue him - or when told you can’t - hope his house explodes from a natural gas explosion? The dude is even giving you 60+ days notice instead of the usual 30.
Yeah, I’m not really sure how to respond to that TBH. (And how’s the weather there today???)
What did you seriously expect would happen with each nighttime phone call and how he sees your place when he comes to fix something? I gotta say, we’re on the side of your landlord with this one. I can’t even pretend to side with you. Good luck finding somewhere better (or as good) to live. You are not welcome to join us. I’ve also told every single family member who knows about it that you are NOT to know we own rental properties… Even if they weren’t already full, NO. I’ve seen your places… We can’t fit your stuff in our house or barn either - not even “temporarily.” Add more to your storage units. Everyone knows a single person NEEDS at least two large storage units to store all their stuff. (Or you could sell/dispose of the stuff in storage as I’ve been telling you for YEARS and up your rent budget…)
And the question I’ve always wanted to ask you… How can anyone so academically smart be so financially and life skills dumb?
But back to the text at hand… How’s the weather there?
It’s ok to tell the insurance company you made a mistake. They sell you liability insurance for the specific purpose of paying for mistakes you make. Lying to them is neither necessary nor productive. But if you’re going to lie, make it plausible. Because that was just embarrassing.
Once again had to explain the difference between Veteran’s Day, Armed Forces Day, and Memorial Day. Those of us who are part of military families would appreciate the small amount of effort it takes to get them straight and address them appropriately. There is nothing “happy” about Memorial Day.
The best way to see if I truly lost weight is if I can eat 2 8’’ inch pizza like I could last year. Now, I can’t even eat more than 5 pieces.
Oh, dear. You’re so interested in the group but that isn’t the place to describe and redescribe your gory foot injury.
When is the GM going to come to his senses and realize our manager can’t manage?!
E, thank you, thank you, thank you. Please, please, please, please take all the time you want. If I were close enough to give you a hug, I would.
D & T, honestly, you are crazier by the minute. Step back. Accept that E has a handle on this. Give R a couple days of peace.
Some days I would really like to get in the car and keep driving. Today is one of those days.
