I love learning new things about USC!

The greatest thing about USC to me is the Trojan Family, with so many members all around the world. And all of them love to get together with fellow Trojans, reminisce, talk, offer advice, and just have a great time together. There was a study abroad trip to Rome a couple years back, the students there found a restaurant that was owned and operated by a married couple, both USC alums. I hear it was the highlight of their trip, they spent the rest of that night just hanging out and enjoying the company and camaraderie that the Trojan Family brings.

I know hawkwings, this summer I was offered a part time job. The funny thing was, the interview was going fairly average until one of the employees asked where I went to school. When he told my interviewer her eyes lit up, turns out she went to USC for Grad school and loved it. Literally received a call 20 minutes after leaving offering me the job.

SC is the kind of unversity where:

You wake up and the alumni are pre gaming before the students.

An epic marching band might randomly start up a number.

Some of your best friends come from Australia, Hong Kong, Florida, Brazil, Greece and Japan.

People think twice about going to class when it even drizzles.

People run out into the halls excited after an earthquake.

PEOPLE CAN’T COOK FRENCH TOAST IN EVK. SERIOUSLY GUYS HOW HARD IS FRENCH TOAST??

And for all the freshmen living in birnkrat and new/north, you too will hate parents who didn’t teach their kids how to make french toast when those 8 AM fire alarms go off -_-.

Here are a few more things that make SC a special place…

A young woman who worked her way through the business school later became First Lady, Pat Nixon.

USC is named a top ten “Dream School” by both parents and students in last year’s Princeton Review Survey.

Alumnus, Dr. Andrew Viterbi, whose algorithm for digital cell phone and satellite communication recently won the nation’s highest honor in science and technology.

Brice Taylor, USC’s first All American football player, excelled despite missing his left hand.

Peaceful courtyards dot the campus and 36 fountains grace patios or outdoor meeting spaces.

Trojan values of Faithful, Scholarly, Skillful, Courageous and Ambitious are inscribed on the Trojan Shrine.

The Trojan Marching Band has been awarded two Platinum Records.

Two brothers, Jacob and David Chako, were named Marshall Scholars in 2000 and 2004.

At commencement the salutatorian award was given to William Zarifi, a gifted scholar, posthumously who had earned a 4.0 GPA while enduring chemotherapy and two brain surgeries.

USC is where once a Trojan, always a Trojan. From a news story this weekend:

USC - that’s a class act.

Hayden,
It is not stated in the article, but Frankie is an excellent student. His plan was to major in pre-med at SC. He is so talented on the football field Frankie was expected to be a top player for Pete Carroll.

It is my understanding Frankie will continue his pre-med studies at the university. In the future we Trojans may be reading about the successes of Dr. Frank Telfort.
Tradition at SC is that injured players who maintain their grades continue on scholarship.

where the majority of hair dryers are owned by guys

Nope, ya gotta bring one.

Neil Armstrong has a honorary degree from USC never actually took classes their. sorry but actually hes a Purdue Alumni. debate that you want, guess where he goes for homecoming? guess where he gives speeches on regular basis? guess where the engineering building is named after him

Baseballnerd,
On another board USC alumni remarked about taking classes with Neil while he was at SC.
On the NASA official biography page you will find that Neil Armstrong earned a Master of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California in 1970.

im sorry then, I’ll do better research next time. My BAD

agreed, that is a very sweet sentiment
