Scared for AP Calc AB test because of teacher...

Hi guys! So basically I got to know my teacher this year for AP Calc AB and turns out I got pranked and got the “bad” teacher for it…people in her class got 4s and 5s on the exam up to my knowledge and her class tests are AP exam styled, but I’m scared that my class grade will be bad and so will my AP test grade.

I have done calc AB in the past through another math class so I know basic calculus, but I don’t want this teacher to kill my grades. Should I transfer out to another class where the calc teacher is much better? She also gives around 500 homework problems per unit which she expects to be turned in but it doesn’t count for the class grade. She also has powerpoint notes and she doesn’t give the class her own examples. I have a rigorous schedule this year AND college applications so I don’t want to spend so much time every night on math homework.

Please help me out. I guess my question is if I can get a 4 or 5 on the AP test with this kind of teacher.

Yes. While having a great teacher helps, the onus for learning is on the student.

Sounds like a “good” teacher to me.

There is no frame of reference. I suspect 500 might be an exaggeration, but regardless, what does that work out to per night, on average?

As they won’t in college, often.

A very good skill to have is to be able to excel in a class no matter who the teacher is, good or bad.
