<p>ACT score: 27 (first time--am taking prep course and retaking it)
*not taking SATs...seem like a waste of time to study for both
Taking 3 SAT 2s in Math 1, Lit., & US History soon, which I will do poorly on</p>

*won champions @ 3 Debate tournaments, and many Quarter/Semi-finalist awards in various tournaments...ranked 2nd in debate for 10th & 11th grade in Nebraska, hope to qual. to Nationals next year (which I def. will!), State Qualifier for debate 2x (10, 11) & State Qual. for speech (10), won 1 speech tournament @ varsity division for informative speaking, awarded High Honors Cert. of achievement in Debate by Order of the Elks</p>

<p>Your stats are almost identical to mine except you have quite a few more extracurriculars and my ACT is just a bit higher.</p>

<p>Ok, so assuming that I'll get my ACT up to around 34....I'll be studying during the summer and nailing it down in the fall. I've gotten 31s on the practices then got extremely nervous on test day...that or the sci section killed me (22 on sci, 31 English, 30 Math, 29 Reading).</p>

<p>Oh, btw, I was wondering...how much clout does Girls Nation have in the admissions process? Is it extremely helpful, could it get me into UChicago, etc.?</p>

John Hopkins:Reach (female:male ratio is pretty even now)
Wash U. @ St. Louis:Reach
UCLA:Reach
U of Penn:Reach
Northwestern:Reach</p>

<p>Your chances at the reaches are very similar, with Penn being the most difficult, and Chicago being the least, although Chicago is much more subjective than is Penn.</p>

<p>You need higher ACTs and hopefully your rank will increase too.</p>
