Scav Hunt Fun

Here is a fun article about the current Scav Hunt now underway.

My favorite item on the list that a team needs to find is "A Swiss army wife."

Yes - we had our mini-scavenger hunt early yesterday morning at our house and next-day'd a box of stuff to Chicago. I am glad that someone already had located a bearskin rug and I did not have to send my faux-fur one (with the button eyes).

There is a link to some pictures of this year's scav hunt up on the chicago site:

Congrats to Max P on their victory ... but Snell-Hitchcock will be VERY motivated next year!

how do students have usually get the items? Do they pay for them themselves?

You make do with what you have. Certain dorms, who shall not herein be named, have huge amounts of money set aside for scav each year. You get more points if you can creatively satisfy the requirements, i.e., in a way the judges did not anticipate.

who's known for winning each year- most dominate?

Snell-Hitchcock has been the traditional victor, but now it's usually Max P vs. Snell-Hitchcock.

In recent years, Snell-Hitchcock and Max P have vied for first. Fund-raising for scav is also a dorm activity.

My campus visit was actually during Scav...and let the record show, Snell-Hitchcock rules^2. Boo Max-P. (yes, I was on the team...yes, I look like an idiot in several item videos. glorious.)
