<p>Many thanks to the parents and students who are posting about decisions. I haven't seen posts, however, about SCEA stats. My child applied SCEA and the file was complete about 2 weeks ago. We are waiting for a decision. Since it has been suggested that more than 40,000 applications are in process at Tulane, I was wondering if anyone had any statistics about the number of SCEA applications received, what the turnaround time would be once a file is complete, and guesses as to what the SCEA admission rates might be. This is year one for SCEA at Tulane so these questions might be difficult to answer.</p>
<p>I have heard nothing specific about SCEA stats. Hopefully when it is all over in the spring, they will post info about how admissions went this year, including a breakout of SCEA. But I do believe they are trying to answer SCEA apps as first priority. I would think you should hear very soon, unless your child is right on the edge. Even then I would think they would just tell you they are being deferred to the RD pool, but as you say, this is the first year.</p>
