I wanted to send in one of my senior pictures, but since I didn't get my pictures in time, I sent in a picture of me in my homecoming dress. I don't think that a picture will hurt your application, but I doubt that it will help you out that much either. My guidance counselor thought it was a cute picture, and so I just sent it in. :) Make it memorable!

a picture? why? i know some schools like columbia ask for one as an option, but... besides it's too late for me now.

Well, if you're hot, then send a pic in. If you're ugly, then don't. Pretty simple!

Haha , I'm j/k by the way ;)

lol good one

this is for the people who have sent in their apps already:
Did you use the white envelope that Yale sent with the application, or did you use another envelope, like a manila one? I don't want to fold the pages! lol Silly me. Anyway, if I use a manila envelope, I'd just write Early Action somewhere on the front, right? :) Thanks so much!

another envelope-- and yea, just write early action.

ditto. i couldnt bring myself to fold all of my pretty pretty work, so i just bought big white envelopes and wrote Early Action on it. I also put three stamps on it, just to be safe.

smart. thanks guys!

I'm filling out the application AS WE SPEAK (TYPE). This is crazy.

me 2! :) I still don't have a short answer. It's botheirng me. I wrote the essay first.

I doubt they care what type of envelope you put it in. But, I completely relate to the not wanting to bend the pages. However, I succumed to it and sent the app in the envelope that they provided. My poor little folded application!
Good luck to all finishing up those apps! :)

My activity essay needs help! ahhhhhhh

AHHHHH the CSS PROFILE forms are the worstest thing everrrr!!! they are worserr than filling out all those applications and writing the name of my stupid town and stupid school (plymouth meeting, plymouth whitemarsh high school) 5800 times. (how many times have i written plymouth meeting high school in plymouth whitemarsh and had to start over... oi, a lot of times)
sorry, its my little rant about the complexity of the stupid forms!!!

yeah, I did that earlier today too. :( Someone please say that the Persoanl Statement essay counts more than the activity essay. I will love you forever.

css is definitely evil. i finally sent it today and i proabbly effed the whole thing up.

I'M DONE! I DID IT! FINISHED!

Of course, it's 2:13 am and I'm barely coherent, so I should probably reread my application in the morning to make sure that I didn't make some heinous typos. I definitely didn't realize that it would take me 8 hours to perfect it. But still...I'M DONE! I DID IT! FINISHED!

Chidimma, if you want any help on the activity essay, I'm here. And I do honestly believe that the Personal Statement counts more than the activity essay, but I'm hardly an expert.

Victoria, Donna, I have a theory that CSS stands for Confusing Shuddersome Sheet. It's either that, or Cruel Soul-Sucker. Any thoughts?

Does anybody else feel that they've left something important out or something?

I've sent my app online a couple of days ago but I cannot help feeling i've left something out ><...
Anyways... good luck to us all! Schools finished for me last thursday but my exams are coming up T>T

I dunno if I mentioned it here but anyway: I've sent in my Yale app! I sent it on Saturday. I now regret being so hasty - not that there's anything wrong with my form, but I'd liked to have had more time to check it through - but ten minutes before noon the teacher waltzed into the computer lab and announced that "the lab will be closing in 10 minutes!" and in my panic I hit the send button too soon. Oh well. I guess it's ok. I've my fingers crossed!!!

my app will be mailed tomorrow, i handed it in last wednesday. mine will be mailed along with the only other application going to Yale from my school. im excited. yay.

I'm so stressed out about all of this! I really want to get into Yale!! For some reason, I'm extremely paranoid about them having all of my stuff.
