Schedule choices.

So, I'm a High School freshman who will be entering his Sophomore year this fall. I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice/critiques of my schedule choices, my EC's and stuff like that.Do you think I should drop some of the electives and add more Sciences or History's . HELP. It's all below. Thanks in advance.

Freshman Year:
English I Honors
Geometry Honors(Took Algebra I in 8th Grade)
Biology I Honors (Took Physical Science in 8th Grade)
AP Human Geography
Spanish I
Drama I
JROTC I
*HOPE (P.E class, took it online)

Sophomore Year :
English II Honors
Algebra II Honors
Chemistry I Honors
AP World History
Band II (It's for Band Colorguard, you have to be in Band II)
Drama II
JROTC II
* Psychology I & II (Online)

Junior Year:
AP English Lit
(No Idea, Suggestions)
AP Psychology
AP American History
(Elective,Probably Band II)
(Elective, Probably Drama III)
(Elective Probably JROTC III)
* World Religions (Online)
* Spanish II (Online)

Senior Year:
AP English Lang
Math For College Readiness
(No Idea,Suggestions?)
AP Government/AP Economics
(Elective, Probably Band II)
(Elective, Probably Drama 4)
(Elective, Probably JROTC 4)

Extracurricular Activities:
None this year, because I transferred schools like twice, never had time
Next Year:
- JROTC Staff (It's kind of like, Office duties and maintaining records and stuff)
- Band Colorguard
- Competitive Theater
- HOPEFULLY Student Council
- HOPEFULLY National Honor Society
& I Volunteer , a lot. I have almost 200 Hours already.

I don't know if this is important, but my PSAT scores were :
630 - Reading
510 - Math
460 - Writing.
And, if anyone lives in Florida, I got a perfect score on the Reading FCAT 2.o

I only looked at your sophomore schedule, which looks great by the way, because that’s all you should be worrying about right now. Concentrate on your current extra curriculars, get good grades, and worry about junior and senior years when you need to… which is in about a year from now.

But it doesn’t hurt to study for SATs. How did you take the PSAT as a freshman?

Switch AP Lang and Lit around.

I got a perfect score on the reading fcat (I’m also a freshman)
Also colleges want you to have a math every year
So for you, pre cal h and AB Calc AB or AP Stats
Switch AP Lang and Lit around as rachel said
I also will be abusing FLVS during these years, although i will be taking APs and a few electives.
Where do you volunteer? not sure where you live but i need Hours i have none

I like it, but make sure you end up with 4 years of math and 3 (or even better, 4) years of science.

Thanks so far to everyone who commented.
BlueDevil18 : We have a program here, that you can take the PSAT as a Freshman so you can better prepare so it Sophomore Year, as well as for your SAT. And I’m worrying about ALL my years right now, so I can make sure I get the required classes, and the best choices each year.

1Rachel94 : Thanks. I think that’s the order my school gives it, but I wasn’t sure !

Weeknd: I HATE MATH. It’s the one subject that I never know what’s going on in.That’s why there’s no AP Maths. So what’s an “Easy” math choice I can put in between Algebra II and Math For College Readiness.

 • I also volunteer different places, like my school and a youth group. I like in Poinciana. How about you?

Rob1995: I end up with 4 Maths. (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Math for College Readiness), Do I really need one each year if I still have 4.?
And for the sciences it’s the same Ill end up with 3. (Physical Science, Biology and Chemistry) And for a 4th Science, Ill probably move AP Psych to Senior Year, that way I can have AP Bio or AP Chem, because it’s a two period class in my school

I hate math too, but if you are trying for a competitive college you need ATLEAST Pre-cal
thats the slowest math track at my school, but my school is pretty good and competitive in fact we were just awarded by the college board, our track is
Algebra 1 , Geometry , Algebra 2 , Pre Cal
My math plan is
Algebra 1 H , Geometry H (flvs) , Algebra 2 , Pre Cal, AP Calc AB , AP Stat (flvs)
but just do whatever you feel is right for you, although i doubt pre cal is that hard its basically Algebra 2.5 or 3

THANKS. ! You helped so much.

 • I guess I’ll take out any plans for AP Bio or Chem and just put in Pre-Calculus and if I find it to be Ok, then I’ll try for AP Calculus.
