Schedule dilemma

<p>Luck has never been on my side and I don't find it strange that my first semester schedule is in a hopeless deadlock. I planned to take Math 1A, but it seems that all the discussion sessions are full. So, I tried waitlisting Math 1A lecture (even though it has available seats) in hopes of being put on the discussion waitlist. And of course, lady luck rejects me again. Now, although I'm on the waitlist for Math 1A lecture and discussion, I am number 40 on the waitlist for the lecture in a class of 400.</p>

<p>So, I'm asking for your help and advice: Is there any way for me to get into the Math 1A lecture while being waitlisted in discussion?</p>

<p>If you get into your discussion section from waitlist then you will get in the lecture, if not, they may put you in a new discussion section not yet opened.</p>

<p>math department has promised to open more discussion sections so that everyone who wants to take math this semester can. You can email the math department and they will confirm what I say. Just watilist yourself and hang on.</p>
