Schedule for next year help, advice please!

I am currently a hs junior, and my schedule for next year looks like this...

AP Calculus BC
AP US Gov/Gifted Education (1 semester each)
AP English Lit.
AP Physics B
Latin 3
Introduction to Engineering
Accounting II

My current calc teacher wants me to drop Intro to engineering, because it is too easy (which is why I signed up) and take AP Stat, however if I do that I will have too much homework. Should I drop Latin and take AP Stat, thus the homework problem will be solved, or should I ignore my teacher? However, If I drop Latin, will that hurt my chances with colleges? I could also drop Intro to Engineering and take a study hall one semester and Gifted Education the other, substantially easing my homework load. Please reply, I need an answer by tomorrow.

Thanks

I highly advise against dropping Latin; if you do, you won’t have a 3rd year language. I would personally drop Intro for Stats. Your course load is already rigorous, a small change won’t significantly increase the amount of work you have to do, considering Stats is not a particularly tedious AP, especially if you’re good at math.

AP Stat isn’t hard to learn, but if AP Stat at your school has a lot of homework associated with it, then you should take that into consideration when signing up for it. Do NOT drop the language, because you don’t want to apply to college with only two years of languages. I would stick with the engineering if you want to major in engineering, and take AP Stat if you want to major in math. I think your schedule looks fine the way it is.
