I have super scheduling conflicts for my senior year. Idk what to do.

all i know is it is impossible for me to take AP chem, AP physics C, and AP calc BC together.

i'm pretty keen on keeping calc BC and AP chem. and my schools AP bio classes are filled up so idk whether ill get that or not.

what should i do!

which looks better for a prospective biomedical engineerign major

A) calc BC, AP chem, elective i do not know yet (i am hoping i will be able to get AP bio and drop french but that is not guaranteed since as i mentioned before it is filled up)

B) AP chem, AP physics C, AP calc AB

Take AP physics C, Physics is the best! and if you have not taken a physics class in high school, you should, esp. since you are thinking about engineering.

^^ ive taken AP physics B. also, the physics C course at my school is very poor and many have said it was a waste of time.

Take AP chem and AP Calc, and self study for Physics C. C is so much more fun than B because there is calculus.

Yeah, I’d take Chem and Calc. You can study Physics privately as it isn’t centred on labs.

take calc BC, AP chem, and if you haven’t done so, high school physics (preferably an honors section).

Before you take AP bio, make sure that dropping french won’t cause a problem with prosepective colleges (a lot of schools want to see 4 years of foreign language).

AP bio spot opened up; do not need to drop french either.

new dilemma…whether to drop AP french for a lunch period…
i would not take the AP exam for french even if i took the course. I heard its not hard to get an easy grade…but i personally am not a fan of taking a class just so u can land a good grade.
but with AP bio which is 1.5 hours everyday, add on 1.5 hours every other day for chemistry, and that’s 3 hours of science every other day. With no break during the day.

so question is, will it look bad to colleges if i drop french?

i heard colleges like to see a continous chain of foreign language classes in high school [4 years] Why wouldn’t you take the AP exam for French if you took the course?

But if you are feeling overwhelmed with your course load, then by all means take lunch…

manu101

I’ve taken french since 8th (maybe even 7th) grade. I do not want to take the AP exam because from what I heard it is ridiculously difficult, including for native speakers. I am not a native French speaker, so the test won’t be a cakewalk.

i haven’t taken lunch throughout high school, will it really make a big deal if i drop french for lunch now?

Remember that colleges want to see the most rigorous and challenging schedule possible and ask yourself whether dropping AP French for something as mundane as lunch would really reflect a commitment to academic rigor.

I believe your health is more important than any ap class. How are you going to go through every day without having a time to eat lunch?

i guess i’ll just have to eat when i get home
