<p>I recently realized that the day of my AP Exam coincides with my brother's birthday, and my family is planning to leave the country to celebrate. I wasn't aware that we would leave during the week (rather than over the weekend), so I'm really in a bind.</p>
<p>Does anyone know when the makeup exam date is and whether I will be allowed to switch dates??</p>

<p>Your conflict is a big bummer but I doubt you will be allowed to reschedule. The whole AP scheduling thing stinks since you could have one day with two tests for example, but I would be very surprised if there is any leeway in your particular situation.</p>
<p>They will not allow you to reschedule in the sense that you pick a day that is good for you. However, I believe there is always a day where people who missed exams get to take the ones they missed. My friend missed one last year and got to make it up the day after the final AP exam, so their should be a way for you to still take it. Your teacher would probably be the best one to ask.</p>
<p>You can test on a late testing day, but you may have to pay a $40 rescheduling fee.</p>
