@needtoboard‌ ikr ._.

wait @boardingjunkie‌ what course are u in?

@RockComet, she emailed her interim adviser. Idk if new preps got them as well.

yep we got them too

@RockComet‌ I’m in 22T with needtoboard

Idk tho… My SSAT quantative was 99th and I’ve kinda done those things before… The thing is that I could not really understand some of the problems at the placement test :confused: Like the one with the horizon, and one with softball … but I didn’t understand because of technical reasons lol :stuck_out_tongue: Should I write to my interim adv to ask whether I can move one course up? :/

Loomis- Yes. We also had to turn in sports/boarding survey (for roommates.)

Surprisingly, unlike other schools, we didn’t have placement tests - just rec letters for Math&foreign language.

Courses:
English I
Latin I
Algebra II Advanced
Chemistry I Advanced
World History

Arts:
Chamber Music
Orchestra (side note: LC Orch is really weak in my opinion after looking at their concert programme, but that may just be because I’m coming from a school thats a feeder for 2nd place state (CA) orch.)

Sports:
Fall: JV Soccer
Winter: Debate
Spring: JV Baseball

Y’all think Spanish is hard? Try learning Greek. I’ve been taking it for 9 years so no complaining about Spanish ahah.

I will say though that Latin, by far, was the hardest course I’ve ever taken. I got it mixed up with Greek so much, I basically failed the class… but I switched back to Spanish this year and am quite content with my grade. Latin for me was hard because the conjugations are similar to the conjugations in Greek but different in ways too, so I got confused… CONSTANTLY.

Chinese. Bane of my life.

I’ve taken both Chinese and Latin (and a brief stint in Spanish in Lower School). I’d say Chinese was harder because you have to memorize all the characters and sentence structures and everything. Latin was hard too but once you memorize the endings it gets easier.

Gah, chinese…

I actually like Spanish. I think it’s fun, especially the little rules such as irregulars. Am I just weird or do others think like this?

Yeah, I actually like it too, though ‘regular’ languages are preferred as they are easier lol :stuck_out_tongue: But I think it is interesting

ok good i thought i was the only one that liked it :)

You’re just weird.

I really like Spanish too, but my school goes extremely slow… I want to learn Italian and Portuguese too!

I speak Italian as well, and would also like to learn Portuguese.

@mrnephew‌
Thanks. :D

I feel so behind everyone :expressionless: Choate doesn’t tell us our placement results until next month and i’m dying to know what courses they’ve put me in :((

It’s okay, Andover’s placement tests aren’t even due yet! I’m anxious to know my results too.
