Scholars Programs?

I was accepted to the Smith School of Business and the Scholars program at UMD, but I'm having a hard time choosing a program in Scholars. Originally I was going to do "Business, Society and the Economy" as it relates to my major (International Business), but when I went to go fill out the interest inventory, I was asked to reconsider as the supplement courses in that program significantly overlaps Smith.

My second choices would be "Science, Technology, and Society" or "Public Leadership" but I'm not really sure what I should pick. I had either wanted to double major/minor in Computer Science, as I want to sort of go into Tech+Business, so Science, Tech, and Society fits, but Public Leadership sounds pretty impressive too.

Just on a side note, which UMD programs, besides the Business and Life Science programs, are harder to get into in Scholars?

Would love some help regarding the decision; thanks!

See my post under umd scholars thread for advice in choosing - don’t delay though because deadline is today and if you don’t respond, you are no longer in scholars.

Re you question on which is harder to get into, when you do the interest inventory it automatically does not let you choose 2 high demand programs. It tells you to select one or the other. You can choose the other high demand program for a 3rd option, just not a 2nd.

Good luck!
