<p>I was wondering how people were selected to be in the University of Scholars because I know some people who did not apply for anything and got in. Does anyone know?</p>
<p>Per their website, approximately 250. Top 7 % of the school. My Daughter also got into scholars without applying</p>
<p>Very interesting. Is this program available to Freshman undergrads? I looked at their webpage but academic requirements are not very clear, except that GPA shouldn’t be less than 3.</p>
<p>There is no formal application for University Scholars, just a check box on the application to Stony Brook. You can only enter the program as an incoming freshmen. Congratulations!</p>
