Hello CC Community (As well as the Stony Brook Community),
I just received my acceptance letter from Stony Brook (hooray!), but I would like to ask about the University Scholars program which I have applied to on the common app. The letter mentions nothing about the program (whether I got accepted or not). Do I get informed of my acceptance to University Scholars later on or will I receive it during my first year in Stony Brook?
Congrats! All honors decisions come later. Working on those now. They’re usually released in early March.

@sbuadmissions Hi Chris, how many students (approximately) will SBU be accepting for Fall of 2015? 
Total? About 13,000, a little less than last year.

@sbuadmissions hey chris I wasn’t sure where else to ask this but my portal recently changed to allow me to make a deposit and look at “student preferences”. Does this pretty much mean I was accepted or has everyones portal changed to allow you to pay? Under Application status it still says that my application is being processed…Thanks!

Definitely SOLAR and email. I think only SfMed decisions come in the regular mail.
@sbuadmissions thanks Chris. And do they inform you either way - whether accepted or denied? Or only if you are accepted?

@cr - No, you only need to send them if we ask for them.

@sbuadmissions hi chris, if we don’t see anything in solar (I’m not sre where in solar we should be looking) and nothing has come by email should we assume he has not been accepted for honors. Should we have heard by now? Would he be informed if he was not accepted?
