Is it better to go to undergrad with almost a full scholarship, then go to dental school, thus completing school in 8 years, or go to a accelerated program at University of the Pacific that is 6 years, but also very expensive.

Do you think being out two years early will help with eliminating debt.

I think if I went to the normal path it would cost me about 360,000
If i went to the accelerated program it would cost me about 400,000, but I get out 2 years earlier.

Thanks!

Take the accelerated route. $40000 is a small amount to pay for two years of your life. spend these two years for a specialty.

Yeah I agree, accelarated.

Definitely accelerated dental program since it’s only 6years.

You do realize that the 6 year program does not offer a BSc which is not required to be a dentist. Graduating 2 years sooner means earning money sooner but since it is costing you 40K less to do the 8, why rush getting into the working world? Enjoy your 2 extra years in college & educate yourself more for the real world maybe take some business classes to run your practice later. Or take those courses you were always interested in that you will never have time later to do.
Congrats by the way!
