I am from India.
i was dyslexic which i covered up, now i am is first year of engg in india. i scored 2400 in sat 1 and 800 maths 800 phy 750 chem in sat 2 i have also topped my university in
mid-term(first sem) have good extra curriculum but my GDP of high school is just 2.8-3.2 which college can i get plz tell plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz .
and yes i am from poor family so i cant pay my family income is just 15000$ per anumm.
can i get get good university with scholarship if yes plz suggest some

I would suggest you complete your undergrad education in your home country. Perhaps you can come here for grad school.

But I can’t get the strewn of my choice in my country as applied physics is not available in my university I am even ready to come there as fresh man plz tell

There are only a small number of schools that give lots of aid to int’ls. Those schools are the hardest to get into. With your GPA, you wouldn’t likely get accepted. Those schools get plenty of apps from students in your country with much higher GPAs.

You would be considered a transfer student. While most schools are not need blind to international students (meaning your ability to pay will be a factor in the admissions process) there are only 6 schools that are both need blind and will meet 100% demonstrated need for international students. These schools are the most competitive regarding freshman admissions.

The number of seats for international transfer students are even fewer making it extremely hard for you to gain admissions as virtually every other school does not have financial aid for international tranasfer students.

As above^^ mentioned by several of the posters-you’d be considered a transfer student. Your inability to pay would be considered a major factor for not being accepted/admitted by most schools. Whatever you do, if you apply to US schools, don’t lie and say that you’re a freshman student-you will eventually get busted and caught lying.

Finish your engineering degree at home and then apply for a graduate program in Applied Physics. However, you will have to get a high GPA and self-study some advanced physics in order to do well on the Physics GRE and be considered for an assistantship.

But my mid term percentile this year is 100% I am the universty topper is I got first rank out of 6300 students of engg still there is no window for me???

Harpreet…India and China have a gazillion applicants to our US schools. Many/most of these students have top scores, yet only a tiny percent get accepted to schools that meet need. For transfer students, the chances are even slimmer.

International Student + Scholarship = Stellar stats
Youd need to be on the ball for real to get a good scholarship being from overseas, and those stats just aren’t gonna cut it. Kinda harsh but that’s how it is.

Did you take SAT 1 before college?

How did you pull off an 800 on the writing section? Your prose is riddled with typical ESL errors. As important as the SAT for international students is the TOEFL.

Given that you need a great deal of aid, the odds are not in your favor, especially as a transfer student. But, that does not mean you can’t try. If you decide the application expenses are prohibitive for a such a long shot, wait, finish your degree in English, and see what you can make happen at the graduate level

So if I want to apply which university I should apply to plz give some names I am ready to take loan upto 50000$

Harpreet…YOU cannot take loans in your own name for $50,000 a year unless YOUR country will allow you to do this there. No one in the United States will issue YOU a loan in that amount. No one!

Seriously, how did you get an 800 on the SAT CR and Writing sections?

I told u about total loan of 4 years .Secondly I had never given Sat earlier .

You cannot be in the 100th percentile of anything. By definition, no one is.

100 percentile means university topper

harpreet, you don’t need to come to the U.S.; you should be able to do quite well where you are given your scores. You should have no obstacles to great success at home.

Thanks all to share your views

*I told u about total loan of 4 years .Secondly I had never given Sat earlier .
*

That’s only $12k per year. That’s not enough…not even close.

What do you mean by saying “I had never given SAT earlier”??? You gave a SAT score in the first post. You said that you got a 2400.
