<p>Hello! I was admitted to the Class of 2016 (yay!) and I was emailed about my scholarships decisions in Mid-February, even though (I think) the website says they typically do this in mid-March... does this mean anything? I only ask for two reasons: 1- Honors College notifications go out in mid- to late-March, so will I get an updated scholarship notification if I get accepted? (since you're guaranteed some form of scholarship if you're admitted?) and 2- one of the scholarships is the National Merit Recognition scholarship. Do I have to indicate Stony Brook as my first-choice school on the NMSC website to receive it, or do I just have to send in some form of proof? And if so, when do I have to do this by? I'm probably making this way more complicated than it has to be, as I typically do, but better to be safe than sorry. Anyway, thanks for the help guys! =D</p>
