Scholarship Essays vs. College Essays?

What are the differences between the two?

I know for a fact that college essays are merely for the college admissions officers to get "acquainted" with your personality. But what about scholarship essays? What if the question for the essay isn't related to overcoming adversities? If the question is something like, "What is your passion and how will you use this passion to make an impact?" Should I incorporate my personality in a scholarship essay or just describe and answer the question in full but monotonous detail?

If you’re describing your passion, your personality should be incorporated by default.

The thing with scholarship essays is you need to make the review committee WANT to give you the money. If you write a monotonous essay, they aren’t gonna be feeling to generous.

Thank you very much for your input :)
