<p>There are very few independent scholarships out there. The ones that do exist tend to be highly regional (so we can’t help you find them) and only last for your freshman year (so they won’t help pay for college).</p>
<p>When you’re determining how to pay for college, you need to figure out how to do it using only financial aid from the federal government, financial aid from the school you’ll attend, and whatever contribution your parents can or are willing to make. Outside scholarships are just a nice present to reduce your student debt by a little bit.</p>

<p>Your GPA is lowish for scholarships. What is your SAT or ACT score (include SAT breakdown).</p>
<p>What is your situation? Are you low income? If not, how much will your parents pay towards college costs?</p>
<p>My sat score is low, I got a 440 on math a 450 on reading and a a 440 on writing, and its just my mom so were on the low income range. Hopefully college can be in ny future but thanks for the info </p>

<p>Your test scores and GPA won’t likely get you scholarships. Scholarships are given for high stats.</p>

Base on your SAT scores, you may be an academically and financially disadvantaged student. You should investigate the Pennsylvania Act 101 porograms. The programs might provide you more FA.
