Scholarship Interview

So I was selected to interview for this $2500 scholarship. Should I expect it to be like a college interview, only sans "why do you want to go to our school"? It's through a dental society and is taking place at a hospital, but anyone with any intended major could apply, if that helps.

No clue what they’ll ask you . . . but good luck!!!

Just a couple days ago I went to scholarship interview! I’ve never done a college interview so I can’t really compare, but basically I was asked about my future plans. Why I chose my major, why I chose my college, some of the things I planned to do during my first year of college… Basically since they’re making an investment in you, they want to make sure you’re serious about your education. And of course, “why should you receive this scholarship?”

Be ready to talk about stuff you put down on your application because they might ask about extracurriculars or something… my interviewer had my app in front of her and asked me about anything that interested her. Since yours is through a dental society they may prefer applicants with an interest in dentistry, but I don’t really know. Just be ready if they want to talk about that, I guess.

Hope that helps somehow! My interview went really fast and was very easy. Good luck!

I am guessing they will ask you about stuff related to the scholarship. What are the criterion they use to award the scholarship. At a minimum, I would expect them to ask questions to have you show that you are the best match.
