Scholarship Question

U of M sent me a very nice scholarship a few days ago. to the effect of 20 k per year. I'm seriously thinking about dropping all my other applications and going, but I want to wait a little bit before I do this. However, the scholarship asks me to accept or decline it by the 15th of January.

If I accept, is this a (binding) commitment to go? Is it OK for me to allow my other apps to continue and see what happens if I do accept the scholarship.

Thanks.

How do you find out about scholarships? Do they come in the admission packet? Or will it come separately?

it sounds like it would be as binding as paying a deposit at most schools (ie not very). however, you shouldnt jump in without looking around as you might get it pulled for looking at other schools. idk.

They sent me a letter, separately from admissions, much later too.

Congrats on the 'ship, tetrahedr0n. I don't know of anyone more deserving. I look forward to seeing you next year around East Hall hopefully!
