Scholarship suggestions and deadlines

My daughter had good SATs (640 cr, 650 m, 700 w-1990 total) so applied EA only to UVA (in state). This morning she got back her Nov SATs and improved to 640, 790 m, 720 w (1430 cr/m or 2150 total) which I think might put her in line for some nice merit based scholarships considering her other qualifications. She is top 4% at one of the top HS in the state, has incredible ECs, a 4.12 weighted GPA (only 2 Bs were HS credits while in middle school) with 9 APs.

The problem is that it seems many schools required an early application (Nov 1st for many of them) to be considered for their top merit based scholarships. I've found some that are Dec 1st, but was wondering if they ever make exceptions to the rules for consideration. Her first choice is Emory but they have a 11/1 deadline.

Right now she is thinking Clemson honors but we don't really have a good list of other possibilities. I should add that she doesn't want to go to anywhere that is too cold (eg much above the Mason Dixon line). In addition to answering my question about deadlines, I would love it if people could give me some more suggestions. My EFC on FASFA is 60k so I doubt we will get much aid other than merit based.
Thanks

Alabama for one. Possibly UAB as well.

She is fortunate to be able to attend one of the best state colleges in the country at in-state tuition costs. I don’t know how she could consider Clemson or UA.

Great point NJMom. The only reason I could think of is if UVA is too expensive for the family. UVA meets need but if the family has some funky financial issues UA may be a better choice.

Good point NJMom, but even though I can afford to pay for her to go there, if somewhere else good is going to give her a full ride then it would leave money for my other 2 kids to go to college without totally depleting my life savings (otherwise I am going to be paying for 3 in college at the same time). Also, she hates cold weather and says it is much too cold for her to be happy (I told her she will get used to it). Finally, it seems like half her school goes there and she wants to experience new things and meet new people.
