Scholarship Weekend 2011

Hi everyone. Just want to let everyone know that if you were invited to scholarship weekend it's on your mystuff account. (thanks to poster luckydog for telling me:)) You can confirm if you are attending on your account. We will be there Feb 25-26.

me too! thanks for telling me. Invited for the same weekend!

I will be attending Feb 25 and 26! Cant wait to go back!

Found it-but the assigned weekend has a conflict. I’ll call tomorrow and see if we can switch

feb 25-26 :)

let me know if you are able to switch, as we have a conflict with our scheduled weekend also. thanks.

I talked with our counselor and he said we can’t switch

we can’t switch either, but we’re making it work so we will be there 25 and 26.

FYI - the Marriott in High Point is offering a group rate of $85 per night (regularly $139). I believe the group is listed as HPAD.

Where did you get the code and how did you apply it? I tried doing it online on the Marriott site but it didn’t work.

If you look under accommodations under campus concierge you will find a list of hotels. I have stayed at the Best Western in High Point, which is nicer than your basic Best Western. Rates are cheap, like $75 per night and they have King rooms as well as doubles for the same price. I just booked parents weekend which is in Feb also. The college will send shuttles to that hotel, and some others, which is really helpful for parking purposes. The JH Adams is extremely nice, but books very early. If any rooms available grab them. All the parents who know about it book it a year in advance.

Good luck on the weekend. It is an experience not to be missed! We had a great time!

Just called the Marriott o get the group rate and they said it’s not available.:frowning:
Did you get the rate through the hotel directly or the 800 number? or online?
Currently it is $144/nite

I called the hotel directly, but they transfer to a reservations agent.

Received “official” invitation yesterday. Anyone else here attending from MN??

Seems that everyone got Feb 25th and 26th date. I wonder why they won’t allow switching?

My D got Feb 12th-nobody else?

When my son went last year, we were told the date assignments were done according to regions…ie, MD, VA and DC on 1 weekend, New England on the other, etc (not exact states but just as an example). Not sure why they don’t allow you to switch but I remember they were not very flexible about it.

ok…so let’s try this…we’re from MD. and our last name begins with a “T”

Where are you all from?

Our last name begins with a “T” as well. We are from MN and attending the 25/26th. Ash316 - which weekend are you assigned?

Our last name begins with ‘L’ we are from NY going the 25th
