I received a scholarship from UVA on SIS, however I had no notification or information about it. The scholarship is called Access UVa Scholarship II, does anyone know what this is for, and whether it is renewable for four years?
Thanks so much everyone!

Access UVa is UVa[s own need-based aid. You need to re-apply each year. As long as your family’s finances remain constant, the aid should continue at approximately the same level for 4 years. In fact, it should increase as UVa tuition and housing costs increase each year. There also is a loan cap on necessary federal loans. After that cap is exceeded, UVa aid is often increased (which may happen in the last of 8 semesters). The loan cap is lower for in-state than out of state students.

If for instance, your family has 2 kids in college, and then has 1 kid in college in a later year, you would probably see a decrease, and visa versa.

@Charliesch Thank you, that was a very thorough answer
