Scholarships/Financial Aid for High school students taking college courses?

<p>Are there scholarships or some sort of financial aid available to high school students who wish to take college classes over the summer? I know there are essay contests that award money, but are there actual scholarships?
I don't think the college offers financial aid during the summer, and my course load is too heavy to take a college class during the school year. I'm not doing much of anything over the summer though. </p>

<p>It costs around $1,200 to take a course worth 3 credit hours at my local state college. That's including books.</p>

<p>Federal FA is not available to HS students taking college classes. To be eligible for federal FA a student must be a degree seeking student enrolled at the school. Students that are still in HS are not considered to be degree seeking students for FA purposes and are not eligible for financial aid.</p>

<p>I have never heard of scholarships for this either.</p>
