Scholarships from Fastweb and other search engines

Well, how much can I trust the scholarships from these search engines? Some of the scholarships have already been considered to be “very fishy” by other people on CC (I did some search). How exactly can I find out if the scholarship I apply to is actually real?

Thanks for any help.

You'll develop a sense as to the motivations behind the scholarships. If they require that you read a book or watch a movie and then respond to it, they're for the purpose of promoting the book or movie. If they require nothing on your part but electronically-submitted contact information, then they just want your e-mail for spam. There are certainly very legitimate scholarships noted there - my kids have received several of them.

Has anyone ever received a scholarship from them? Are they real?

Bump..................

From what I've heard, the scholarships can be hard to get, but they're definitely worth applying for! Remember, hundreds of thousands of other students are looking to get money, too.

what i dont like about fastweb is that EVERYONE uses it, so everyones applying for those scholarships reducing my chance to get it

^ I agree.
