scholarships - near FL - 5-10k student size

Big thanks to those who have contributed to this compilation!! My DS is really looking for a mid-sized school (5K-10K students). Does anyone know offhand if any of these schools are in that range? We live in Florida so also looking for something on this side of the country.

SE schools on list with UG attendance between 5K and 10K.

Louisiana Tech University
North Carolina Central University
University of Alabama in Huntsville
University of Central Arkansas

Wow!! That was fast! Thanks Descartesz. I will look into those.

Is Lynn university in that range of students? We got some material from several schools in the Tampa region that offer non NM scholarships but I don’t know the student body size. Are you talking about NM scholarships or any scholarships? there are threads on here with info on NM scholarships and another thread with competitive/guaranteed scholarships that break down info by each state. The NM thread does the same. Bob Wallace contributed extensively to these posts and mega thanks to him for his time and research. Lynn is one of NM schools in Fla. it is a very generous scholarship.

Lynn University is just down the street from us. It’s tiny! Maybe 2000-2500 students?

Yes, I was talking about NM scholarships. I originally posted this question on the NM scholarship compilation thread but it was moved. I just looked up Lynn and according to their website, it has about 2,400 students and is located in Boca Raton, not Tampa.

sorry. Bad wording on my part. Lynn is in the eastern part of state. As you noted, Boca Raton. They do offer a nice NM package. there are also several schools in the Tampa region that have some merit aid available that is not tied into NM status. As it looks like you’ve figured out, most of the Florida schools with nice NM awards are big schools. When I ran net price calculators on the Tampa area schools, they generally gave me combined merit/need based estimates so I can’t break it down for you to specifically at the moment but I seem to remember some merit scholarship options being available at those schools (and the schools include Eckerd. St’ Leo’s, and Univ Tampa plus I think there are others). Again, don’t know student body sizes. And I’m not from Florida so my idea of the Tampa region may be considerably broader than a Floridian’s as I’m just basing my info from a map at this point.
