Scholarships that need FAFSA?

What do i do about scholarships such as The Simon Youth Foundation Scholarship that need Student Aid reports--that's FAFSA right?

Some scholarships that are need-based have been open since August or September and I'm not sure how those students fill out everything if FAFSA opens on January 1st.

Is this[/url”>http://programs.applyists.com/syf/]this the scholarship are you talking about? Does it actually say FAFSA? If so, you can always turn it in on January 1st before the deadline, right?

Doesn’t FAFSA open to students on January 1st?

The 2015-2016 FAFSA opens on January 1st, but , but I was trying to figure out when the scholarship’s deadline was.

The scholarship’s deadline is in February. However, I have seen scholarships that consider financial needs and that have deadlines in the first semester of school (pretty much already over for me now).

I know that sometimes they have their own form that they want. Do they actually ask for the FAFSA by name? Many colleges and scholarship programs use the CSS Profile by the College Board instead (or in addition to the FAFSA). You may also have to use the current year’s FAFSA (2014-2015) for a scholarship that requires this info for this year (2014, including this fall semester).
