My son is a M24 (freshman). This is an incredible program. I suggest you apply! GPA is important – math SAT has to be at least 600. Take your time and write an awesome essay! Get good math and science teacher recommendations. Be yourself during the interview process. Even if you don’t get the meyerhoff – I recommend UMBC!

Hi LatinMan7, It’s good that you are looking early! I have a child in the M24 cohort and it is wonderful. I would work on the Math SAT score in particular. What is your intended major? As proudmom1313 mentioned, be yourself in the interview. Good luck!

I would like to major in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. My GPA is around a 3.56, and I will be taking the SAT very soon (I can hopefully get at least a 600, I’m in AP Calculus).
Thank You!

Do you have any programming languages under your belt, LatinMan7? I would practice SAT math exams to boost the math score. They look carefully at the math score so get it as high as you can. Good luck and keep us posted!
