Just a quick question checking out scholarships, but only name, phone number, and address are listed, as well as sponsor information and deadline info, how much the amount is, etc etc... But no where does it say anything about how to apply for the scholarship. Which is weird, since it says its given out every year. So I guess you just mail them? I'm new to scholarships, never applied before.

If you have the telephone number, why don’t you just pick up the phone and call them?

But, before you invest any more time in your search for private scholarships, please see [this post](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/14718502-post3.html) from earlier today. It states:

What he didn’t also mention is that virtually all scholarships are for one year only . . . so what do you plan to do the remaining three years?

You need a scholarship to pay for college? Look at schools that give [automatic/guaranteed scholarships](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/financial-aid-scholarships/848226-important-links-automatic-guaranteed-merit-scholarships.html) to high school seniors with your stat’s. Don’t qualify for those? Then look at private colleges that give merit aid . . . and focus on schools, as noted, where your stat’s would make you a “good catch.” In other words, focus on schools where your stat’s are significantly better than those of most of the candidates who are accepted to that school.

Just to clarify…

Private scholarships are mostly for freshman year only, so how would you pay for the rest of the school years?

Scholarships from COLLEGES are often for all four years.
