<p>I saw the other post about scholarships and people receiving them today...are they done sending out merit scholarships or do they send them out in waves? I was really hoping to get some money from UMD because it is probably the school I am going to.</p>

<p>No, they offer scholarships assuming that many won’t attend. Just like admissions, there’s a “yield” that they calculate based on prior years.</p>
