Scholastic Arts and Writing

I recently found out that I won a silver key for poetry and an honorable mention for a short story. I've never really done anything like this before so I'm a bit confused. So here are a few questions:

Do I actually get a silver key/trophy/diploma?
Do I receive any money for a scholarship?
Would this look nice to put on an application? Honorable mention and silver at regional levels aren't exactly impressive.

If anyone has any experience with this, their words would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The results are up tomorrow… you had me worried for a sec aha

Actually, they send you an email beforehand if you won anything. I got my notification Wednesday.

Ah. I won honorable mention but received no email for a short story.

I won but didn’t get any emails… Maybe because I sent mine to the region at large, not any special program. I had to dig through the site.

And I believe the “key” is a little metal thing. You may or may not get it, my memory is unclear (my sister did it years ago).

And you get a certificate in the mail. Money, no.
