School and Specialty

Hello,

I am currently researching Medical school options and plan to send my applications in this year. How important is it that I pick a school with a program in my specialty(s) of interest? For example, I am currently interested in dermatology - do all/most medical schools provide programs (rotations in 3rd and 4th years) to help me work towards derm? A broader question might be, do most medical programs offer programs in the spectrum of specialties, or do they each offer only a limited variety of rotations?

I also realize, however, that interests change over time and I very well could change my mind. It has changed 2 or 3 times already in the past 4 years. =)

Thanks!

Most med schools offer the spectrum. For derm it really doesnt matter where you go as long as you do well in med school, have good scores, have good research and clinical experience to get into the residency.
