Bhutan prince's story led me to Cushion Academy's website (apparently he studied at Andover briefly and then transferred to Cushion), and look what I found. Hope this helps to some of you who are in the process of interviewing and visiting schools.

I guess you can add to the list more items that you care about.

And yeah, he was at Andover for a while, but, according to my former Rel-Phil teacher, the administration didn’t take too kindly to finding out that his entourage was doing all of his schoolwork for him.

I thought the AOs only recruited nice kids who can actually do the work? They probably recruited the Prince to add to the diversity of the campus? :D

Or maybe they did it altruistically because they believed that an Andover education would help train the prince to effectively lead his country. Ever thought of that?

George Bush graduated from Yale. What’s your point?

Andover let the prince go because he was a cheat and a serial plagiarist! Anyone with half a brain and/or a functioning moral compass would applaud Andover for kicking him out.

Tom @#7, while technically I don’t doubt what you say, the way royalty are treated in Asia doesn’t jibe with Western academic expectations. The Prince would have had dozens of tutors throughout his life, and both he and they expected to some degree that they “do the work for him.” It’s their job to learn what’s needed, and to coach him for success. Not exactly a good fit for “independent” school education. BUT…if you’ve ever been around an NCAA Division 1 revenue sport…those “student athletes” don’t get treated too differently from the king!!!
