Yes we do. Thank You. Will definitely look at applying early at Case.
If she wants to study CS or CE, I would revise your list of schools to more engineering focused schools. She will have a greater chance of admission as a woman in many of those programs, as well as merit. I’d keep Cornell, GT, MIT, Stanford, USC, UT, A & M on the list and consider Princeton, Rice, Mudd, UW, CMU, Michigan, and Purdue. At your income level you are unlikely to get much FA if you have significant assets, so you may find your in-state options to be good deals.
@TooOld4School : Thanks, will look at the list and discuss with d to see her thoughts. We had looked at Rice but were worried about the bias against texas kids. Am not looking for much aid just a little hopefully but not banking on it at this time.
Agree with @TooOld4School re: adding a couple more dcience/tech oriented scools. I second UMich and Rice. You might not want to rule out WUSTL so quickly. I seem to recall they do have merit $$ for some highly qualified candidates. I recall getting invitations to apply in the 2014 cycle and know one kid who did well with them.
Thank You, will take her to visit and see if I can get her to change her mind about Rice. We have got quite a few flyers from Wash U also talking about their merit programs but thought they were more marketing which they send to get folks to apply and increase their selectivity, did not think she would have a shot. Will talk to D and see if we can revisit Wash U and Rice.
