What is the location and surrounding community like? I hear mixed things about area and student safety
The immediate area around the school is nice and is patrolled by Hopkins security. Within that several block radius, there are a lot of restaurants, stores, etc. Baltimore varies depending on the neighborhood. The kids can, and do, walk to Hamden which is a great area with shops and restaurants but they mostly take uber or mass transit to other areas. Like any city school, students should, and do, travel in groups and should not wander off to areas that they are unfamiliar with.
